Romsey Beggar’s Fair – Saturday 8th July
LIVE & LOCAL MUSIC ALL DAY
On Saturday 8th July, Solomon played two sets at the 25th Romsey Beggar’s Fair. Located in the beautiful Hampshire town of Romsey, the Beggar’s fair takes over the town with a huge range of local and live music throughout the entire day.
Details of the history of the event, and of the 80+ acts which performed can be found at http://www.beggarsfair.org.uk/
Solomon played at the Tipsy Pig at 1430, an amazing intimate garden set in the blazing sunshine. Entertaining the pub crowd with original songs of hope, peace and love.
At 1815, Solomon took to the stage at the Olive Tree, performing to hundreds in the impressive beer garden. Safe to say we rocked the house with original songs, and a few rocking covers. Finishing with the classic Iron Sky by Pablo Nutini.
Solomon would like to thank Romsey Beggar’s Fair, The Tipsy Pig and The Olive Tree for a great day of live music.

SOLOMON ON BBC INTRODUCING #THEUNIVERSE
It’s our absolute privilege to have been profiled by our friends at BBC introducing this week.
Following the tragic events in London on Saturday 3rd June 2017 and what has been a tough few days for so many people, we felt it right to wait to share this. We hope you don’t mind – there’s a time for music and a time for solidarity and reflection.
Solomon were performing live on stage on the night of Sat 3rd June at The Joiners in Southampton. The pre-recorded interview is from our May #SolomonAtTheSocial. There’s an interview with Mo, lead singer of Solomon, on why he believes it continues to be important to keep speaking up for our freedoms, unity in our communities and for common British values, and not to be bowed to terrorism and extremism. Theres a place for great music, with a message. This is what Solomon does.
And so, here we are. FFWD to 27.45 to hear the BBC interview with Mo and Solomon’s latest track, #TheUniverse. We hope you enjoy it.
Huge thanks to everyone (too many to name) who have helped and supported the band to this point. We continue our adventures in rock n roll. See you all on the road and at our forthcoming gigs. Peace and hope.

SOLOMON@ SPRINGERFEST 2017
On Sunday April 2nd, Solomon were honored to play Springerfest 2017, at the Orange rooms, Southampton. A 10 hour music festival showcasing a dozen local bands in aid of the Dorothy Springer Trust, which helps disabled children in Sierra Leone with education and life prospects.
The Dorothy Springer trust story… A disabled boy from Sierra Leone, afflicted by childhood Polio, is sponsored by a secret benefactor from England. It changes his life forever. Sadly for Dr AbsDumbuya, after a long search he only discovers the name of the person who lifted him out of poverty, hardship and provided him with an education after her passing. Unable to thank her, Dr Abs Dumbuya establishes the Dorothy Springer Trust in her honour, reaching-out to disabled and disenfranchised kids from Sierra Leone to make a better life for them through education and training in computing. (http://www.dorothy-springer-trust.org.uk/
The total raised so far is £1,166; through a combination of online donations (http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/Springerfest) and on the door ticket sales.
Solomon had an awesome 45 minute set and played several new songs to an eager crowd. We were one of a dozen acts and totally rocked the house. Our thanks to the organisers, the Springer trust and the Orange rooms for all their support.
